Our Records-Access Purpose
Booking information can move through several systems after an arrest. A local detention office may hold booking material, a statewide status service can address current custody or supervision, a state corrections locator serves a different population, and a court file records how a charge is resolved. The site explains those official-first categories, including the Texas Public Information Act framework for a specific existing record. It does not host booking photographs, arrest records, or court files.
What the Reference Includes
The material is designed to make Lamb County’s limited public-facing publication system easier to understand without treating a booking as proof of wrongdoing.
- The home page explains official custody checks, public-record requests, court-record follow-up, and the difference between custody status and a booking record.
- City pages explain why an incident record and a county detention record can have different custodians.
- County, state, federal, and immigration custody tools are distinguished by the population each one covers.
- Texas Government Code Chapter 552 is identified as the public-information framework for requests for specific existing records.
Limits of This Private Site
This is not a government service and has no affiliation with the Lamb County Sheriff’s Office, Lamb County Jail, any police department, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, or another government body. We cannot release or transfer a person, confirm a custody or release status, post bond, retrieve an official record, or provide legal advice. A booking or arrest photograph reflects an accusation, and a court disposition is needed before treating a charge as a conviction.
- We cannot operate a jail roster or issue an official status confirmation.
- We cannot obtain, correct, seal, or expunge a record for a visitor.
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret a person’s case.
- We cannot promise that an outside office, portal, or fee remains unchanged.
Only the office that created or maintains a record can provide an official answer about that record, custody, release, or a case status.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages include a search box operated by an independent provider. That provider sets its own availability, pricing, results, and privacy practices. If a visitor chooses a paid partner service after using one of those tools, this site may receive an affiliate or referral fee. That compensation helps support the site, but it does not change the site’s lack of control over a partner’s service or results.
